My family and I have spent the last 10 years building and landscaping our home in Sharon, VT. Through it all we wondered at times if we shouldn’t just move to a spot that was already “done.”  We regularly looked at houses and land, searching our way around the market until, ultimately, we realized we were more rooted than we thought and the pleasure of turning the place into our own was worth the work and worry.

My previous experience in the book publishing business took me to almost every corner of the United States .  I drove and flew hundreds of thousands of miles and it was always a treat to come home to this community.  There’s nothing like stepping out of the car late at night after a day in New York City and seeing the dark sky full of stars.

Whether you are new to the area or have lived here for years you will undoubtedly know that this is one of the most dynamic real estate markets in the Country.  Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center  and Dartmouth College are still major employers but dozens of new high-tech and light-industry companies have incubated here and are creating a tremendous economic engine that drives an ever bigger area.  Towns previously considered too far from Hanover are quickly gaining value and hundreds of new homes are planned in towns surrounding the core employment areas.
